VorArlberg and the pow pow

W2

Just back from Warth, stayed in the Arlberg area in Austria for the last 5 days. Next to Lech, the village that was snowed in for a few days. Just to say that I haven't seen that much snow in my lifetime. According to the hotel owner it wasn't for 24 years, this amount of snow. We had 1 meter of fresh, almost overnight. Resulting in 360 centimeters of snow on the mountaintop, one-two oh my God. Very high avalanche alert, no wonder. They even closed a few pistes for avalanche danger, that's a first-timer for me. But we didn't have to wander off-piste. Up to are knees in the powder, on some of the unprepared pistes.

All the pics you see here I shot with the GoPro. Got myself a GoPro2 for my birthday last month and mounted it on a skistick with the handlebar mount. What a toy! Here's a few stills. Moving images will follow in a few days. Cheerio, kenson is back on the grind with a inner smile that will surely last a few weeks.

'Amnesty Rescue' Call Of Duty

I'm not a gamer, but I salute the idea used to leverage this real life problem to an audience that might never be engaged elsewise.

grass flip flops

Grass-flip-flops-1

If you prefer the sense of grass between your toes instead of sand, this is your best choice to go with. No need to trim or water, but the feeling should be the same.

reef - icons of aloha

The concept behind the ‘Icons of Aloha’ is to highlight accomplished Reef Ambassadors who have humbly garnered the respect of the Hawaiian community and earned their spot in the line-up at the notorious, and often times treacherous, surf breaks of the North Shore.

Moullinex & Peaches - Maniac

"The boys of Munich’s modern Disco institution Gomma Records recently teamed up with Burn Studios and picked some Disco-gems from Casablanca Records backcatalogue and re-arranged and re-recorded them together with Peaches on vocals and even Harold Faltermeyer adding to the production. They made a sweet four-track EP out of it that is both, a tribute to Disco-histories finest moments and a demonstration in production that couldn’t be more contemporary. Just have a try with their interpretation of Michael Sembellos “Maniac” and you’ll never play your whack “Video Games”-Edit ever again."
