man vs. bear

Yeah you have to admit it's a good one. This won't be erased so easily from the viral websites the upcoming days. Just try it and write a few of the following words in the end of the campaign "cuddles, dances, fucks, paints, kicks, hits". Have fun.

the beat of New York

this dropped in my inbox via the VIMEO newsletter, I've never been to New York but after seeing this video it just starts calling more and more. Anyone has a free couch we can crash on? Below you can read more about the story, improvise all the way + the result is nice to look at. In the comments I found some more info on how it was shot, for those who want to know: Canon 5D with 50mm 1.2 and 24-70mm 2.8 (next on my whishlist), FCP and MagicBullet.

"Thomas Noesner, our DoP, was in New York for a shoot of the new Mercedes R-Class. Right after the job, he took his camera and strolled through the busting streets of „The City“. While screening the pictures of a drummer in the tube station, I had the idea of creating a „remix“ of the recorded drum sequence to use it as a soundtrack for the film. That´s when our sounddesigner Tussaint came into play... We composed a track around the drum beat of this guy. Watch and listen to the beat of New York!"

the 12 lacoste legends

I'm not a big Lacoste fan, but this new footwear design project, LACOSTE Legends brings together 12 legendary collaborators from the worlds of music, media, design and retail, to create an exclusive collection comprising 12 shoes. Lot's of collabs have been launched in the past to make a brand look younger, but these have a few names that intrigue me.

The 12 Lacoste LEGENDS are: Soul II Soul's Jazzie B, Sébastien Tellier, Stones Throw Records, Japanese designer Ato Matsumoto, fashion designers Christophe Lemaire and Tim Hamilton, Sneaker Freaker, i-D Magazine, Shoes Master, Bodega, D-Mop and Parisian fashion store Colette.

The 12 LEGENDS footwear designs reflect the broadly diverse personalities and creative talents of each of the contributors, looking at the names there should be some good designs in it. All which you can find on sale at 12:12 on December 12th at various stores around the globe.

Waap Waap Waap, it's almost weekend and we're needed at the Lynx (Axe) Lodge. See you downunder, if you're also invited. Who's bringing the beers and the meat?
